It’s a scorcher today, nearly 100 degrees. However, that isn’t stopping our little homesteader from enjoying his mini cabin. Today, our son is cleaning up his playhouse and then plans to enjoy a glass of cold lemonade on his front porch.
*This playhouse was built from an old hunting blind we got from a friend which makes us most of the floor.
The walls from the hunting blind were torn down, board by board and reassembled in a typical construction fashion, using studs that are 16″ apart.
The walls and porch were made from our old deck, and the support posts for the front and the lean-to were branches we cut off trees on our property. The roof shingles were also made from old pallet slats to give it that rustic look and feel.
